While the Texas 4-H Youth & Development Program has had a permanent presence in Texas, there has never been a permanent home for the State 4-H Headquarters, until now, 101 years later. This year the Texas 4-H Youth Development Foundation acquired an existing facility in College Station, Texas which will become the headquarters office for the Texas 4-H Foundation, Texas 4-H Friends & Alumni Association and Texas 4-H Youth & Development Program. Constructions is underway to remodel the existing facility as well as expand with another 4,000 square foot structure. The facility complex will contain a multi-purpose room for hosting various 4-H events, meetings and leadership training activities used
by 4-H youth as well as 4-H volunteers. The Texas 4-H State Headquarters will be located in College Station off of Highway 6 South.
The Texas 4-H Foundation wanted to provide an opportunity for ALL 4-H Supporters to take ownership of this building. The Texas 4-H Friends & Alumni Association is coordinating this effort and encourages everyone to become a “Clover Cornerstone”. No amount is too big or too small. Any donor to this effort will be included in a permanent book that will be placed in the reception areas of the complex so that guest can see every single person that helped to make this home a reality. Included in the book will be the name of the donor and their hometown.
You may choose to make a donation in memory or honor of a loved one, business supporter, governmental leader, or a specific 4-H Club, if so, then that will be placed in the book. No donation amount information will be disclosed. Funds generated will be used to complete the building project and may include such things as interior needs of the complex, office and meeting room furnishings, decorations, equipment needs, landscaping, etc.
Please consider becoming a Cornerstone in the history of the Texas 4-H Program. Your tax deductible donation will help sustain and grow the next 100 years of the 4-H program.
